An Indiana State Police trooper with a medical background delivered a child Wednesday night to a lady in labor who didn’t have sufficient time to get to the hospital, the division is reporting.

Trooper Mackenzi Alexander overhead the decision at 5:20 p.m. and determined to reply to the French Lick house after realizing she was a couple of minutes away.
